Well done on completing the last two lessons, those are serious and can be no fun, but it’s so essential to you becoming a great Nail Tech. The next section I will ask you to read about, looks at Nail Enhancements- How they came about, the types of enhancements as well as the different systems available.

Did you know that all nail systems are a form of acrylic and all acrylics are a form of plastic? This can be a little confusing in the nail industry as we tend to name our systems based on their actual forms – a great example of this is liquid and powder acrylic which is called acrylic because that’s what it is made of but all gels and the dipping system is made up of acrylic too. Due to the confusion and all of the hybrid options out there it is essential that we have a base idea of the most common systems available on the market- and that we may need to probe our clients for more info to properly identify systems they have had in the past. These are the reasons why knowing as much about all of the different systems available as possible is so essential even if we feel that it is not relevant to us and what we want to do. Knowledge is power and education is key to this!
